Sunday Afternoon

Today our primary class had a visitor. It was another child from a different class. When he sat down he put his feet up on the kid next to him. That child was not interested in being his foot rest so he threw them off. When the legs were headed back to the ground one foot hit the other. The visitor jumped up and ran over to me. Being so distressed he said to me "He kicked me with my own foot!" Trying to not laugh I just told him, "But you put your feet on him. Maybe you should keep your feet to yourself and that wouldn't happen." Normally I'm frustrated just watching this child when I'm in sharing time but having him today gave me a new understanding. I'm glad that I had the chance today to gain a better idea of what's really going on.

Game Night

Tonight we had a game night at our place. We tried to do it last week but because of this, that or the other a lot of people couldn't come so we pushed it to this week. We started out the evening with Mario Sluggers. It was just four of us to start so that worked out great. I made brownies and popcorn to snack on and had some soda's ready to go. (Next time I'm buying paper cups. With nine people here we went through every cup in the house. I know we have more then that). For kicks and giggles I bought Watermelon soda. It was bright green with a pink label. I guess that makes me a kid because I will admit I bought it for the color. Honest opinion it tasted like Jolly Ranchers to me. Thinking about that soda though they got it backwards. Shouldn't it be a pink soda with a green label. Sorry my mind tends to wander. Back to the original idea. We also played some just dance and that is a sure way to get a lot of laughs. They said white people can't dance and I had a whole troop of proof in my living room. We tried some board games and Catch Phrase. I love all these people that came. We had people bring more snacks and games then we knew what to do with. Plenty of people were missed tonight but maybe we will see them another time. Tonight made for an excellent weekend.
